Prince William: That's why the Tresco trip with his family is so special

Prince William is said to have traveled to Tresco with his family to relax for a few days. The island is anything but foreign to him.

Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) enjoy spending time with their children – far away from their country home in Note Hall in the east of the United Kingdom. As reported by "The Mirror", the royal family is said to have moved to the south of the country. The five days, including Prince Louis (2), would spend the days off before Prince George (7) and Princess Charlotte (5) started the new school year on the Isles of Scilly. A very special vacation spot for Prince William.

Islanders have told the British paper that they saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cycling on Tresco Island. "They looked so happy when they enjoyed the weather," an eyewitness not mentioned is quoted. The two royals would have greeted kindly.

Explored the island as a child

Prince William is no stranger to the archipelago off the Cornish coast. As a child, he spent his vacation there with his parents, Prince Charles (71) and Princess Diana (1961-1997), as well as brother Prince Harry (35). A picture that "The Mirror" published shows the family in 1989 – also on bicycles. The Cambridge Royals should still be on site by Friday (August 1), then the journey home is pending.
