After Barcelona, Parisian supporters are preparing to go to Dortmund. Nearly 4,000 Paris Saint-Germain fans will make the trip, some by bus, others by train. Maxime and Victor, friends in life and inveterate supporters of PSG, for their part chose to leave by car, armed with their precious keys: “We did not hesitate for a second. As soon as the ticket office opened, we reserved our places. It’s going to be a historic day that we didn’t want to miss,” explains Maxime.

6 hours of travel and a car decorated in PSG colors

These Parisians met this Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the center of the capital. A journey of more than 550km to reach one of the emblematic cities of German football. A route that Parisian fans know well. Last December, in the group stage of the Champions League, Paris traveled to Dortmund and won a draw, one goal all.

In the meantime, Victor has decided to decorate his car in the colors of PSG: “We are going to put the jerseys on the dashboard, the scarves on the windows and we are going to cross Belgium and arrive in Germany to encourage PSG”.

Sausages, fries and Paris Saint-Germain victory

As when they went to Milan at the start of the season, the two friends plan to arrive at the stadium early to enjoy the atmosphere, probably buy a souvenir of this match in the German club’s store and taste the Local specialties. Sausages, fries, beers in moderation and then the match with, they hope, a victory for PSG: “Given the last performances of Dortmund (4-1 defeat against Leipzig), we hope for victory, after that it remains a match of the Champions League”, explains Maxime.

Victor believes that Kylian Mbappé will make the difference: “Our number 7 will score to take PSG to the final before leaving the club. I’m betting on a 1-0 Parisian success, the first leg will be more complicated than the match return which will be played at the Parc des Princes”. But faced with the yellow wall and his die-hard German supporters, it will be difficult to make himself heard, Victor will give everything: “The idea is to no longer have any vocal cords at the end of the match. We will give everything, sing our hearts out to push our players and win the match.”

In the meantime, Maxime is now warming up his voice to try to also win the match from the stands by reprising one of the great Parisian hits: “After so many years of struggle and fight where for you, Paris SG, we are going break your voice.”
