Version 7.6: Bug fixes
Google mainly implements bug fixes in version 7.6 of Android Auto. Compared to the previous version 7.5, nothing serious has changed. Users had already expected a new interface in mid-April 2022. The design of Android Auto will probably change in the future and become more similar to Apple’s competitor application, Apple CarPlay. But the patch provides no such innovation. The update list includes a fix for calls with the Google Assistant. Calls with the assistant worked, but were played through the phone speaker instead of Bluetooth by default. There was also a problem when listening to music: while using Wifi, it was only choppy as soon as users switched to another application or received a message. Those annoying errors are now a thing of the past. Also new: Dark Mode for Android Auto should now be usable independently of the smartphone.
