LAre the media too complacent towards Jean-Luc Mélenchon? It’s a good question. They are in any case infinitely less so than the socialists who rallied to his rule and even those elephants and local caciques who refused to do so.
We knew the capacity of seduction of the leader Insoumis, with talented harangues, radical proposals and ruthless anathemas. We knew he was in a position of strength, prancing in front of the woozy Greens and a Lilliputian PC and PS. There was no doubt that he would use it shamelessly. We still can’t get over the submission he aroused. Nothing can resist it.
