Decidedly, Intel’s return to the market for Graphic card dedicated is anything but a long, quiet river.
A few weeks ago, we were surprised to find that Intel had reserved its mobile Arc graphics solutions for the South Korean market. Now the American is doing it again with desktop cards.
A5 and A7 cards not before summer
Relayed by VideoCardz, the words of Lisa Pearce, Vice President of the Intel Visual Compute Group, could not be clearer. The first Arc graphics cards will, this time, be reserved for China.
” We will first launch our entry-level Intel Arc A-series (A3) desktop products in China through integrators in Q2. Retail component sales will soon follow in China “.
Ms. Pearce explains this choice by “ the proximity of components and the strong demand for entry-level products “. Going forward, Intel plans to deploy these products globally. The company confirms in passing that the Arc A5 and A7 cards will only be released during the summer.
Here again, integrators will be served first and Intel is careful not to specify any retail sales schedule for its most powerful cards.
