Test the brand new Honor X8 for a few weeks and tell us what you think. To know everything about this operation and have a chance to join us, it’s just below that it’s happening.
Now out of Huawei’s fold, Honor has decided to reconnect with its history by offering smartphones that combine all the features that have made the brand so successful. The Honor X8, released last week, is the perfect illustration of this since it offers exemplary services, whether in terms of its design or its technical data sheet, all at a price that remains below the 250 euro mark. .
In order to judge the Honor X8 from every angle, we are therefore looking for three Frandroid readers who are determined to rub shoulders with this brand new device for a few weeks.
Premium design, solid technical sheet and large photo sensor: the Honor X8 has everything (except the price)
If it is positioned as an entry-level smartphone, the Honor X8 does not have to be ashamed of its services. At first glance, we see that Honor has not made fun of the world: its chassis, thin and light, with rounded edges and decorated with metal on the edges gives off a nice impression of solidity while remaining very elegant. Its (very) large 6.7-inch screen with very thin borders reinforces this premium aspect without weighing down the whole thing.
On the technical side, nothing to complain about either. Powered by a Snapdragon 680 and 6 GB of RAM, the Honor 8X offers extremely satisfactory services. Enough to take up most of the tasks you can entrust to it without too many problems, including 3D games (provided you don’t pull the rope too hard, of course). Its battery (4000 mAh) and the Honor SuperCharge 22.5 W give it a nice autonomy, which allows you to use the Honor 8X all day without asking yourself any questions.
Last significant point: its photo block. Nicely integrated into the rear panel, this block has four sensors, including a main 64-megapixel one that does most of the work. It is supplemented by a secondary 5 megapixel lens as well as a depth sensor and a macro sensor which allow the assembly to take quality shots, and to access many different photo modes.
The Honor X8 is for those who don’t want to spend several hundred euros on a smartphone, but who want to buy a smartphone that can last for many years. A device with a good quality-price ratio for small budgets, therefore.
