The Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi has died. The 40-year-old was apparently found dead in her apartment by her husband.
According to media reports, the award-winning Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi died at the age of 40. She was found dead in her home in Tokyo by her husband Taiki Nakabayashi (35), reports "The Japan Times". The police have therefore started an investigation.
Takeuchi was a successful actress in Japan who has appeared in numerous films and television series throughout her career. She became known in 1998 for her role in the horror film "Ring – The Original", "Ring" was remade in 2002 by Hollywood. The Japanese star also played a female version of Sherlock Holmes in the 2018 HBO series "Miss Sherlock", which was broadcast in several countries.
