Donald Glover: Third child for the all-rounder

Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Donald Glover apparently became a father again in May. It's his third son.

The musician, actor and author Donald Glover (37, "Atlanta") has become a father again. This was revealed by the Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy award winner in a conversation with Michaela Coel (33, "I May Destroy You") published by the men's magazine "GQ". "You know, I had (a child) during the coronavirus," explains Glover, who became known to a wider audience with his role in the sitcom "Community" and his music, and later became a star in the US entertainment industry.

"Yes, it was crazy," he explains. Apparently, his new son was born in May, just as the world began to take to the streets to protest against police violence and racism after the violent death of George Floyd (1973-2020). "I was in the hospital bed. My son had just been born about an hour ago and I was watching the George Floyd video. It was such a strange moment," Glover recalls.

Between compassion and joy

However, he lacked the words to describe the entire situation. On the one hand there was the birth that made him happy, on the other hand there was Floyd and his father Donald Glover Sr., who had also passed away shortly before. This moment, "the empathy and compassion and the terror and the joy of everything", were formative for him.

Glover also says that his third son is named after his father. The child obviously bears the name Donald, like himself. The actor and musician has been in a relationship with his partner Michelle White for several years, with whom he already has two children. In 2016 his son Legend was born, two years later his little brother Drake.
