Former Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug is looking forward to Mick Schumacher's first appearance in Formula 1 and is convinced: Schumi jr. belongs in Formula 1.
"I am very happy, the whole racing world is very happy. It is remarkable to have the Schumacher name back in Formula 1 after such a long break," said Haug in an interview with RTL / ntv.
The 67-year-old sees Schumacher as a "perfect racing driver". The former boss of Mika Häkkinen is particularly impressed by Mick's overtaking maneuvers. "He doesn't flinch for a long time, he puts his opponent in order. There will rarely be any contact," said Haug.
Mick Schumacher will drive an Alfa Romeo on Friday in the 1st free practice for the Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.
