Nikita Bellucci and 4 other porn actors talk about HIV / AIDS

What if we talked about HIV and AIDS without taboos? Five pornographic actors have decided to challenge prejudices in a successful humorous short film.

"AIDS and HIV are not the same thing at all. Just because you are HIV positive doesn't mean you have AIDS", explains Nikita Bellucci. In a humorous short film, five straight and gay pornographic actors, including the French pornstar, question the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS. The scenario of the video: Anthony Poupard, who plays a character carrying HIV, is dumped by her boyfriend, named Marc, because he "has trouble with the condom". Starting from there, the small team unraveled preconceived ideas about HIV / AIDS, which still persist in 2020.

Throughout the conversation, the character played by Anthony Poupard explains that HIV is "asleep" thanks to his treatment and that his viral load is therefore undetectable. "With Marc, we could very well do without the condom, since I cannot transmit the virus to him", insists the actor.

This video also talks about PrEP, a prevention method that involves taking medicine for HIV infection when you are an uninfected person. As the website of the Haute Autorité de la Santé explains, PrEP "is aimed at men and women exposed (from the age of 15) by their practices to a high risk of contracting HIV. This prevention aims to reduce the risk of getting infected ". "The pill is half an olive, swallow that and you are protected from HIV", details Anthony Poupard. "It's less restrictive than the pill for women, in any case", Tom Yadris, known as drag queen Lolla Wesh, adds.
Nearly 170,000 people are living with HIV in France. And each year, 7,000 new people are infected, according to a report from Public Health France in July 2019. The initiative of the five actors is therefore beneficial.
