Corona crisis: The whole of the Netherlands is becoming a risk area

The federal government has declared new regions in Europe to be risk areas – including the whole of the Netherlands and continental France.

Among other things, the whole of the Netherlands and all of continental France will count as risk areas from next Saturday (October 17th). The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced this on its website. Regions in 15 countries have therefore been jointly designated as risk areas by the Federal Ministry of Health, the Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

These countries are also there

Since the last change there are also new: a region in Finland, the French overseas territory Martinique, as well as regions in Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary and the United Kingdom. Also affected: all of Malta, counties in Croatia, provinces in Sweden, cantons in Switzerland and all of Slovakia.

A precise overview of all regions currently classified as risk areas is available from the RKI. A corresponding classification is made after a joint decision by the Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Ministry of Health.
