Obtaining the Innovative Company qualification from Bpifrance
Development of an innovative efficiency project
energy by halving the energy consumption of buildings
Wood Manufacturers ( Euronext ACCESSTM : FR 00140007I9 – MLLCB) takes a new step in its innovative approach in favor of the impact of construction on the environment. Its innovative Landair’Am project aims to reduce the energy consumption of buildings in a process of reusing deconstruction materials and now benefits from the support of Bpifrance.
As part of a process of perpetual innovation in the design and implementation of its projects, LCB has been awarded the label of “companies with innovative and strategic development projects”.
LCB now benefits from the support of Bpifrance, in charge of the development of innovative companies. Obtaining this label offers, for a renewable period of 3 years, the possibility for the Mutual Investment Funds for Innovation FCPI to invest in the capital of LCB and for their subscribers, to benefit from the corresponding tax advantages. FCPIs are required to invest at least 70% of their assets in SMEs that meet the eligibility criteria and are innovative.
LCB’s innovation strategy supported internally by an R&D team and its economic development prospects have directly contributed to obtaining the label.
An energy efficiency project supported by Bpifrance
In December 2021, Les Constructeurs du Bois announced the appointment by Cerema Lab of the Landair’Am project. This innovative Research and Development program aims to develop a heating network in order to meet the challenges of carbon-free energy, by drawing the free energy located in the surface layers of the ground (<3m), and by re-using rubble, in situ, of deconstruction.
Meeting all the energy criteria for circular economy and carbon-free energy production, this solution now benefits from the support of Bpifrance for the next three years. The R&D investments made should lead to the release of a first prototype in 2023. Within 3 years, this activity could generate additional revenue of around €7 million for LCB.
Thanks to this innovative concept, the Company enriches its offer in favor of future Eco’Cities and reiterates its desire to systematically integrate eco-responsible solutions in its achievements.
