He just starred in Season 4 of Stranger Things. Amazon Prime Video has now announced that character actor and comedian Paul Reiser will also appear in the upcoming 4th episode of Season 3 of the superhero satire “The Boys”. Reiser will therefore embody the character “The Legend”, which is well known to readers of the “The Boys” comic template.
“The Legend”, also known as “Old Legend”, is a parody of Marvel legend Stan Lee in the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. In “The Boys” universe, he runs a comic book store and knows just about everything about every imaginable supe.
Also, “The Legend” refuses to talk to anyone but Billy Butcher here – and despite his advanced age is a “horny old man” (which is no surprise in the quirky world of “Boys” now).
In the 4th “Stranger Things” season, Netflix viewers* Paul Reiser could only just be seen as Dr. Experience Sam Owens, a role he has played – with occasional pauses – since Season 2.
Incidentally, Amazon’s bloody superhero parody “The Boys” was only extended a few days ago! So Billy Butcher and Co. will also compete against Homelander and other villains in a 4th season!
