REPORTAGE. Terra Botanica Park presents a garden that does not need watering. An interesting experiment in the midst of drought and heat waves.

OHe knew the butchery without bones dear to Hergé, we now have the garden without water dear to Angers. And in the current (very hot) weather, this is a particularly suitable curiosity. It is at Terra Botanica that we can see this. In the middle of the twenty hectares of the park, Boris Barré pampers some 700 square meters on which grow more than a hundred plants. Finally, pampering is a very big word because – and this is the principle – in this perimeter we have not unrolled a single pipe for almost… three years!
“We watered for the first five to six months after installing the plants, then nothing, despite the heat waves,” says the landscaper. And don’t think the area is desert! On the contrary, under the blazing sun of this summer, the greenery…
