In fact, a large number of programs from BR and ARD alpha have long been available in the ARD media library, which means that the step from the outside seems comparatively small. In the ARD media library, BR is already achieving higher viewing numbers than in its own media library, which will have helped with the decision. Only individual programs will be affected by the step, which previously could only be found in the BR media library, including the literary program “Gottschalk reads?” and the pop music documentary “Now & Then”.
In contrast to the media libraries being switched off, BR is hiving off selected radio programs from the ARD audio library, including the popular “Tagessprach”. From now on, this will only be available in the BR Radio app. As a television show, however, “Tagessprach” remains part of the ARD media library.
