In the new VOX program "Showtime of my Life – Stars Against Cancer", 16 celebrities – eight women and eight men – drop their covers. Both shows are moderated by Guido Maria Kretschmer, 55. Maite Kelly: She talks about the death of her parents
Maite Kelly, 41, had to cope with a bad stroke of fate at an early age: at the age of three, she lost her mother Barbara Ann, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36. In 2002 her father Dan died. At just 22, Maite was left without her parents. "That is the moment when you realize that in the end you will also die alone", the singer recalls today according to "Intouch" in relation to "Freizeitwoche".
She has realized that from now on she has to go her own way and learn to deal with her existential fears on her own, she explains and adds: "Suddenly there is no mother and father holding hands." After the death of her parents, she explains that there were many unanswered questions about which she also spoke to a therapist. But this path was not the right one for her: "He didn't do anything but calm me down."
During this period of mourning, Maite learned again what happiness is: She met her ex-husband Florent Raimond. "A time in which I was completely beside myself. And that great love can be found in such a dramatic mental state – that was really a blast," says Maite in an interview. Maite and Florent were married between 2005 and 2018 and have three daughters together.

Andrea Berg is sad
