To the surprise of all participants, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan took part in a virtual poetry lesson for young people.

Surprise! Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) made their first public appearance of the year at the weekend. The couple surprised a group of poetry fans on Saturday (February 6) by attending an online seminar organized by Get Lit Poetry.

The US organization, which works with young poetry fans and campaigns against illiteracy, shared a screenshot via Instagram showing the moment the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the video call. "Guess who attended our poetry class this weekend? It was the best weekend EVER," wrote the organization. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were "magical", "friendly" and "interested in poetry". Meghan even shared her favorite lines of poetry with those present. "We are so grateful for your visit in honor of Black History Month."

Some of the students and the teacher who gave the lesson then described their experience with the couple. "My favorite moment was that Meghan was empathizing with so many of the emotions we talk about in class," Mason Granger explained in an Instagram post. "I can't find any words to describe how amazing and cool this experience was," one of the students wrote on Instagram. "You were so kind, respectful and so authentic."

Will Meghan write a book herself soon?

Meghan may also have used the hour to get inspiration for her own literary project. According to the "Vanity Fair", the Duchess is said to have been offered "several very serious book deals".
