Janet Jackson's album "Control" celebrated another chart success 35 years after its release. The singer is touched.

On February 4th, Janet Jackson's (54) album "Control" celebrated its 35th anniversary since its release. In April 1986 the record took the throne of the US charts. Last week it climbed to number one again, this time in the top 40 pop albums on the Apple US charts. Jackson has already commented on the particular success. She showed up last Saturday in a Twitter video visibly moved. "I was home alone and started to cry. I cried because I was so grateful for everything God has blessed me with, for everything He has given me," said the singer. "I want to thank you all for making 'Control' number one again after 35 years."

The chart success came almost at the same time as the publication of a statement by Justin Timberlake (40) in which he apologized to his colleague. Timberlake and Jackson were at the center of a controversy known as "Nipplegate". Timberlake Jackson tore part of their costume off during a joint appearance during the Super Bowl halftime break in 2004. The singer's chest was exposed. Jackson came under criticism afterwards, while her colleague got off rather lightly. Jackson has not yet commented on Timberlake's remorseful post, in which he also apologized to his ex-partner Britney Spears (39) for his past misconduct.
