  • The new WhatsApp update for iPhones does not only contain bug fixes.
  • Media that have been labeled no longer lose them. You can now remove them if you wish.
  • Some people may not be able to use the new function despite the update.

WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for iOS, which is said to contain bug fixes in particular. For some of you, version 22.23.77 also brings an improvement in the forwarding function. This improvement was previously tested in the beta.

For example, if you send an image, video, GIF, or document from your library to one of your contacts without forwarding it from another chat, you can add a caption to the files and media before sending. Before the update, this label was lost when forwarding to another contact.

As the WBAInfo website, which specializes in WhatsApp betas, notes, this is no longer the case for some users of the iOS app update 22.23.0.77 and 22.23.23.76.

Also interesting…

Now you can press the forward arrow and see the label under the selection of your contacts. If necessary, it can be removed beforehand. You may not have this feature yet, even though you have installed the new update. Then you have to be patient for a while. Apparently, WhatsApp is only gradually rolling out this innovation for all accounts.
