The Nest Hub 2nd gen. is aimed primarily at restorative sleep extremists. This smart display has nothing more to offer than its “Sleep Tracking” function compared to the already very successful previous version. This assistant is always full of options and is an excellent interface for controlling your connected home.
Strong points
- Presence of a light sensor.
- Interface that facilitates access to the control of connected equipment in the home.
- Excellent voice recognition quality.
- Sleep tracking futile, but interesting for some.
Weak points
- Listening to music not recommended.
- Screen with mixed performance (dull color rendering).
- Few additional functions compared to the previous version.

For a first assistant with screen, Google pulls out of the game by presenting a Nest Hub which is full of features and presents itself as a real tool for managing the connected home. We regret, however, its lack of a front camera: a real plus that would have made it possible to make video calls. Note also that the screen of the Nest Hub is not the most efficient and watching movies or long videos is not recommended… Unfortunate for an assistant with a screen!
