Merck: received FDA approval for BRAVECTO


(CercleFinance.com) – Merck Animal Health has received US FDA approval for expanded use of BRAVECTO (fluralaner) chews for dogs.

This new indication makes it possible to treat and control Asian ticks, a species present on more than a third of American territory. Wallet enlargement provides dogs with broad-spectrum protection against Asian ticks.

“BRAVECTO Chews for Dogs is the first and only American product for the treatment and control of Asian tick infestations,” the group states.

“Approval of this additional use of BRAVECTO builds on the strong foundation and body of scientific evidence that we have established over the years with our full line of broad-spectrum pest control products,” said Holger Lehmann, Vice -President, Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Merck Animal Health.
