European markets ended on a mixed note on Tuesday, essentially remaining in a holding position ahead of U.S. Central Bank President Jerome Powell’s speech, hoping to find some clarity there after plenty of economic data.

Paris fell by 0.07% and Frankfurt by 0.16%. But Milan gained 0.36%, as did London, which was buoyed by commodity-related firms.
