Despite struggling, Célia could not prevent her elimination from Koh-Lanta, the Sacred Fire. Discarded from the first episode of the new season which was broadcast on TF1 this Tuesday, February 21, the now ex-candidate confided in our colleagues from Télé-Loisirs on her desperate attempt to find the immunity collar.
It’s already the end of the adventure for Célia. The second oldest candidate of Koh-Lanta, the Sacred Fire, was eliminated by her team on the first show, broadcast this Tuesday, February 21 on TF1. The observation she made in an interview at Tele-Leisure is bitter: “an outing without honor”weighed down by “the worst score of the adventure”. The 49-year-old family assistant, the first to be eliminated after three days of filmingregret to “[ne pas avoir pu] show what [elle était] able despite [son] coaching”. Pugnacious, Célia had indeed tried to participate in the show for fourteen years.
But his perseverance was not enough to convince his teammates. These latter have criticized his lack of investment in the show. “I really tried to fit in several times, without being answered. The age difference must have playedI think”Célia defended herself. “So at some point, I started looking for the necklace… I only had that left. I wasn’t going to beg them kneeling down for them to talk to me”she continued.

“I tried everything”
In a sequence not aired during this first episode, the mother of the family threw herself body and soul in his quest. But she failed to find the much desired immunity necklace that could have saved her: “I tried everything: I dismantled the island! We don’t see it on screen because two hours of broadcast is three days of shooting, but I searched for the immunity necklace from morning to night, criss-crossing the island from top to bottom for two and a half days… So I have no regrets, I couldn’t do anything more”. The fear of seeing his sons disappointed quickly disappeared thanks to their support: “They took me in their arms and told me to quickly turn the page, to look for me another project. We didn’t talk about it anymore because they saw me very dilapidated!”. Célia would even consider a new candidacy: “But I’m a fighter… And why not return to Koh-Lanta one day to take my revenge?”.
