Prince Philip was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In memory of him, the royal family is now opening their private albums.

The British royal family is rarely seen so privately. To pay tribute to the late Prince Philip (1921-2021), several family members published photos from the royal family album on Wednesday. They should remember the husband of Queen Elizabeth II (94) “as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather”, write about Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (39). you shared a snapshot with their followersrecorded at Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 2015.

The photo shows Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II together with Prince William and Duchess Kate as well as Prince George (7) and Princess Charlotte (5). The latter is likely to have been just a few months old at the time of recording. Prince Louis (2), the couple’s youngest son, was not yet born.

On the photo, published by the British monarch in honor of her husband, Prince Louis can be seen meanwhile. He lies in the Queen’s arms while Prince George and Princess Charlotte pose next to them. Prince Philip has also made himself comfortable on the sofa. The royal couple is surrounded by a total of seven of their great-grandchildren: George, Charlotte and Louis as well as Mia Grace (7) and Lena (2), daughters of Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall (39), as well as Isla (9) and Savannah (10), Daughters of Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips (43). The photo was taken by Duchess Kate in 2018, also at Balmoral Castle.

Prince Charles remembers “beloved father”

Prince Charles (72) and his wife, Duchess Camilla (73), call Prince Philip “beloved father and father-in-law”. The couple have no children together. It published two pictures: One shows father and son on horseback at a polo game in 1966. The second was created during the wedding of Prince William and Duchess Kate in 2011.
