a big new patch, but not for everyone

Baldur’s Gate 3 received a new update which brought many changes. What’s new this time? Have all the annoying issues finally been resolved?

It is obvious that since its release in final version, Baldur’s Gate 3 has undergone many transformations thanks to the numerous updates provided by Larian. While some updates are more significant than others, that doesn’t mean the studio is resting on its laurels. They still have many plans for their RPG, as evidenced by this new hotfix. You will discover that they have planned some welcome changes.

Another new patch for Baldur’s Gate 3

There are always opportunities for improvement, as evidenced by the RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 which offers a hotfix 17 which should delight players. However, it is important to note that this update only affects users on Mac. Therefore, it does not benefit the majority of players, since other platforms have already received this update for some time.

Performance and Code:

  • [Corrigé] Black and colored visual artifacts sometimes appearing for 1 frame when changing scenes or opening/closing UI windows.
  • [Correction] Error 544

Increased save compression, which should resolve several issues caused by large save files. Reduced save file size by removing summons that no longer exist in the game.

Protection against crashes caused when a mod or cheat engine added and removed certain character resources (Actions, Bonus Actions, Superiority Dice, etc.).

Baldur’s Gate 3 Gameplay and Combat:

  • [Corrigé] In Honor Mode, Cazador’s aura now properly dissipates after defeat.
  • [Corrigé] The camera that sometimes zoomed when jumping or casting projectile spells.
  • [Corrigé] The ability to walk through open doors by clicking further behind them

Baldur’s Gate 3 User Interface:

  • [Corrigé] The Saving Shield saving throw modifier is now correctly reflected on the Character Sheet.

Others

  • [Corrigé] Gale will no longer permanently leave the party if you don’t offer him any magic items during your conversation – unless you make it very clear that you never plan to do so.

Larian’s goal now is to catch up on the game on Mac by updating it to match the PC version.
