a big novelty for PS1 games

With the PS Plus Premium offer, subscribers can replay great PS1 classics. But until now, the games were “slowing down”. The shooting is corrected for a first title with this new option.

Within the many benefits of PS Plus Premium, subscribers can enjoy a selection from the incredible PS1 toy library. And now, it will be in optimal conditions.

PS Plus Premium PS1 Games 60Hz Option Rolls Out

Our colleagues from VGC have excellent news: the 60Hz option for PS1 classic games on the PS Plus Premium is starting to appear. And the first to benefit from it is a cult title: Siphon Filter 2. As shown in their screenshot below, subscribers can go to the “Change region” tab. Two choices are then offered to them: the European PAL version in 50Hz or the American NTSC version in 60Hz. It’s good to see that it’s an option and players can go back at any time. Each change will only require a restart of the application.

With this new feature, PS Plus Premium subscribers should be rid of the ugly rendering caused by an unstable and temporary fix. In addition to this, we must not forget that classic PlayStation 1 games are improved with multiple additions including trophies.

What will be the next PS Classics in 60Hz?

What’s next? Logically, here are the next retro PS1 games that should have this 60Hz option:

  • Ape Escape
  • Wild Arms
  • Worms World Party
  • Kurushi
  • Everybody’s Golf
  • Siphon Filter
