On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the disappearance of Johnny Hallyday, M6 broadcast a touching and intimate documentary – Johnny by Laeticia -, made from archive footage filmed by Laeticia Hallyday herself. The ex-wife of the singer has also spoken on several occasions to explain the origins of this project which brought together nearly three million viewers on December 8. Invited by Lea Salame on the set of What an era! this Saturday, December 10, the companion of Jalil Lespert returned once again to several events that have punctuated the career of the rocker, but also their life as a couple. Starting with the arrival of Jade (2004) and Joy (2008), the two girls they went to adopt in Vietnam.

At the time of the broadcast of images showing the first meeting between Johnny and Jade, Laeticia Hallyday was particularly touched. Tears in her eyes, she bounced back: “I am moved, because it has shaken up our whole life, it has reinvented our life. There is a before and an after”. For her it was “the culmination of this dream” : “That’s when the stars align and you’ve reached your quest”. Léa Salamé continued the interview by wondering about the possibility ofa third adoptionafter Joy. “Why didn’t it happen?” she advanced. What the guest replied in all transparency: “It happened, but we didn’t finish because Johnny fell into a coma and that’s when we had to go to Vietnam to get this little boy which already had a name, which already existed in our lives”. It was in 2009 and his name was Shane.

Laeticia Hallyday regrets missed acts

The show What an era! allowed Laeticia Hallyday to also express herself on Johnny’s infidelities with a certain discernment, but also her own, presented as a form of revenge which allowed her to understand that she was still capable of seducing a man. She also mentioned the still very tense relations with Johnny’s first two children, Laura Smet and David Hallyday, which did not appear in his will. Which had also led to legal action on their part… “He left with a lot of things he didn’t fix in his lifetime. He was like that and I don’t blame him, but I would have liked him to fix things that he didn’t fix and to ease tensions and missteps.” she said about it.
