Chris Hemsworth, better known as the Thor of the Marvel universe or Tyler Rake, played an important role in a film that is largely forgotten today: a dark story of twins!

We might as well say it straight away, if you’ve never seen this film, we can’t really say that it’s a gap that needs to be filled. Ca$h has a scenario that has been rehashed since the concept of fiction existed: that of the briefcase that should not be picked up. However, it has one advantage worth mentioning:

Sean Bean plays not one, but two roles! Indeed, Pyke Kubic has a twin brother locked up in prison and even if this has no impact on the story at all except perhaps the very end, it is a detail that deserves to be known.

Otherwise, the film is quite repetitive: Pyke wants his money down to the last cent, calls on the couple who have to manage to find part of the sum, a solution is organized which reimburses part of it, and we set off again for a ride . Chris Hemsworth does quite well, but he is clearly the main asset of the film, which fails to live up to classics of the genre such as Snatch, A Simple Plan or Pulp Fiction.

Ca$h is Stephen Milburn Anderson’s third and final feature film after South Central (1992) and Dead Men Can’t Dance (1997) with Michael Biehn, Kathleen York and Adrian Paul. The film should not be confused with the French feature film of the same name, Ca$h, by Eric Besnard, with Jean Dujardin, a story of revenge-scam, tinged with alliances and misalliances and released in 2008.
As for Chris Hemsworth, he will soon return in the role of Thor but “differently”, as he recently announced. In the meantime, he has finished filming Furiosa, a spin-off of the Mad Max saga supervised by George Miller and will lend his voice to Optimus Prime in Transformers One, an animated film based on the famous toy brand.
