Could Microsoft be experimenting with new offers with its Xbox Game Pass? The Redmond firm is considering offering a cheaper subscription, but with certain constraints such as the absence of exclusives or even advertising.
The Xbox Game Pass is hands down the best way to enjoy a large library of games on the cheap. Microsoft could offer new offers to players, with cheaper subscriptions. If nothing is done yet, American society is beginning to test the waters.
A survey has indeed been published on Reset Era. In Spanish and spotted by the Windows Central site, it seeks to find out if users would be prepared to subscribe at a lower rate if certain limitations were imposed on them.
A cheaper Game Pass but with advertising?
Thus, the survey imagines a situation in which the Game Pass would cost only 3 dollars per month, against 10 dollars currently. For this price, the user would have access to the same library, but not to the titles first party as soon as they leave. He should wait six months to take advantage of Microsoft exclusives like Starfield or the next Fable. EA Play would also not be included in this offer.

The survey also mentions the arrival of advertising. Microsoft suggests that spots would be broadcast with each game launched, a way to compensate for this lower price. Finally, this subscription would give the possibility of playing solo only.
