What future for Wonder Woman within the brand new DCU? The news is pretty good based on recent information. What can we learn again?
With the gradual end of Snyder’s universe, the last vestige of which is the film The Flash from last June, the DCU will gradually be put in place, headed by director James Gunn and Peter Safran. Henry Cavill in Superman and Ben Affleck in Batman so it’s over. What about wonder woman, character much appreciated by fans, in particular thanks to the interpretation of actress Gal Gadot? This one clearly does not seem to be taking the same path, good news? It already seems to divide.

According to several concordant information, a new film wonder woman would be in preparation with Gal Gadot and this one would aim to completely reboot the franchise to start again on a sound basis with the DCU. For this purpose the director Patty Jenkins in charge of the first episodes would not make this third film. Reportedly, Jenkins should have directed the film, but after extensive study of the script James Gunn scrapped the script entirely because he felt it didn’t fit with his plans for DC at the movies. As a result, James Gunn, Peter Safran AND Gal Gadot will jointly develop a new version of Wonder Woman 3 which should take into account some elements of the other films (probably the meeting with Steve Trevorm) while abandoning certain ideas entirely. We currently have no additional information on this subject.
A curious choice
Some are already starting to get annoyed with this decision. Indeed, spectators do not understand why Henry Cavill disappears from his role as Superman while Gal Gagot (some point to his mediocre game) remains in place. However, it must be admitted that the actress corresponds well to the role and that everything also depends on the way in which she will be directed by the director. Both physically and in her acting, she ticks all the boxes to make a quality Wonder Woman. Despite the flaws of the episode 1984 the first film was also a good success (93% on RottenTomatoes) and many fans agree on the subject. It remains to be seen now what will Wonder Woman 3 in terms of quality. We are not immune to a good surprise, hope that his musical theme can stay because it was particularly epic and in perfect harmony with the character.
