Zelda Tears of the Kingdom has undoubtedly been turned over and over by players. But it’s typically the kind of game that’s full of secrets, and that encourages you to come back and wander through its world from time to time. For its part, Nintendo has not finished spoiling owners of the new opus. A nice surprise revealed earlier in the year just arrived at our home a few days ago, and it will surely please fans.
Zelda has a great gift for gamers
On June 21, a Nintendo Direct was held, and it was full of great announcements. The remake of Super Mario RPG was presented, like the excellent Super Mario Bros Wonder. But that’s not all, since Zelda was entitled to her appearance. Not to show new content, that would be too good to be true, but to reveal new Amiibo: those of Ganondorf and Princess Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom. Collectors were over the moon, despite the fact that there was no specific release date to look forward to. We had to wait until winter 2023, and indeed, Big N did not lie.
They are now available, and they join the beautiful collection of Zelda amiibo. We have already been able to appreciate the figurines from Breath of the Wild, and only those from TOTK were missing to complete the picture. It’s now done. Zelda and Ganon thus join Link and the circle is closed. Hoping that Nintendo doesn’t stop there.
What does the future hold for Tears of the Kingdom?
Some players were perhaps expecting big news regarding the future of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but that would be to forget that there won’t be any. Indeed, at the beginning of September, our colleagues from Famitsu had the opportunity to ask questions to the director and producer of the game, Hidemaro Fujibayashi and Eiji Aonuma. They had stated that there would be no DLC for the sequel to BOTW. “We feel like we’ve done everything we can with the world of this game and the way it plays.”.
On the other hand, in another interview given to the Telegraph, our two men discussed the future of the license, and some interesting information was revealed. It should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is no exact quote, but Aonuma and Fujibayashi are described as being insistent that they wanted to change the setting for the next installment. If their reaction is to be believed, the next Zelda could take place in another realm or a new iteration of Hyrule.
