A drunken family runs down a track on a mattress in La Mongie, a child injured


A three-year-old child was injured when four people from the same family, alcoholics, rolled down a track in La Mongie on a mattress overnight from Thursday to Friday.

Four people from the same family, alcoholic, descended a track in La Mongie (Hautes-Pyrénées) on a mattress during the night from Thursday to Friday, causing serious injuries to a three-year-old child who accompanied them, a-t- we learned from the police.

Three adults and a 14-year-old teenager, also under the influence of alcohol, stole a protective mattress from a beam in the Pyrenean resort of Grand Tourmalet before setting off on the track.

Their improvised toboggan race ended 200 meters below in a barrier at the foot of a ski lift.

The child, whom they had taken with them, suffered from fractures in both legs and had to be evacuated to Tarbes hospital, along with the others.

The alert was given by station personnel, who were preparing the slopes for the following day. The firefighters came to the aid of the family and gendarmes also went to the scene because of the particularly vehement behavior of the group, according to the same source.

The station announced that it would file a complaint, citing damage of several thousand euros.
