Guns N’ Roses was performing in Adelaide, capital of South Australia. In the heat of the moment, band leader Axl Rose threw his microphone into the crowd. This one landed on the bridge of this viewer’s nose, leaving her bloody and hyperventilating.
A huge coquard in each eye
In a photo taken after the show, shared by the DailyMailwe can see the victim with a huge coquard in each eye and a clearly visible cut on the top of the nose. She suffers from severe facial bruising. She told local media that Axl Rose, real name William Bruce Rose Jr, threw his microphone in the direction of the audience at the end of the song Take Me Down To Paradise City. Shocked, she was rescued by a policeman present in the audience but which was not in service. “I was in shock and hyperventilating”, she said. She said to herself: “Oh my God, my face is stoned”. Then she added: “I could have lost an eye… if I had turned my head and he had hit me in the temple, I could have died”.
Following the incident, the Daily Mail Australia contacted the Guns N’ Roses manager who did not comment. VSIt’s not the first time an Aussie fan has been injured at a Guns N’ Roses show. Darren Wright of Perth had been hit in the mouth, damaging two of his front teeth. The facts date back to the group’s tour in 2013. At the time, the victim had recourse to the courts to seek compensation in order to be reimbursed for the $5,000 in dental expenses.
