At the end of their tether, the Gaec du Coupet operators decided to settle things their own way. This morning “around 11.30 a.m.”, they cut off the power supply to the relay antenna located a few hundred meters from their farm. It is, according to farmers, the cause of the death of nearly fifty cows and calves. The rest of the herd, around 150 animals, is also affected.

“A quarter of an hour after the power was cut, journalists and representatives of the agricultural federation could see that the cows had all raised their heads and started to drink again. It’s not hard to prove though. We just turned off the power, we didn’t change anything else. There were eighty people on site who could see the difference.
