The collection of NFT Billionaire Dogs Club turned out to be a massive scam and there is every reason to believe that its promoter, a reality TV star, walked away with some of the loot.

Of the million dollars that disappeared after the launch of these non-fungible tokens, Laurent Correia would have received 500,000 dollars. But what are the police doing ? Apparently, not much, since the influencer continues to expose his lavish lifestyle on social networks, without a shadow of remorse.

Straw man or mastermind of the operation, Laurent Billionaire is still running

Mixing reality TV with the NFT market is not necessarily the guarantee of finding honest people. The case before us starts with a Twitter thread that clearly accuses entrepreneur Laurent Correia, who actively promoted the Billionaire Dogs Club project, a series of NFTs that sold on OpenSea at 0.1 ETH each in presale. , and 0.2 ETH when the project was released in early April. The prospect of easy money has attracted many investors, galvanized around a Discord of 90,000 members and promotional videos based on wild parties on yachts and luxury gifts.

All told, this not-so-subtle scam will have raised over a million dollars, and the team has sold over 2,000 pixel dogs at purely nominal value. A few days later, no trace of the team that deleted Billionaire Dogs’ Discord and Twitter accounts. The person concerned, Laurent Correia, is strongly suspected of having organized the rug pull since 500,000 dollars were transferred to his account after the departure of the team.

The name of the influencer / businessman / scammer is familiar to us at Clubic because he has already been involved in a case of illegal promotion of crypto products at the end of 2021. On the recent accusations, no response from the person concerned who is content to post photos of Dubai without giving his opinion on the benefits of web3.
