A God of War TV series from the creators of The Expanse?

It is precisely on Prime Video that this adaptation in live action should see the light of day, with Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, duo of creators and executive producers of the science fiction series, at the helm. The Expanse (whose adaptation in video game has also been announced at Telltale Games). The name of Rafe Judkins, creator and executive producer of The wheel of timeis also advanced, knowing that this fantasy series is also available on Prime Video.

Fine linen, therefore, but we would expect nothing less when it comes to the adaptation of a license as important as God of War, a series already popular in its time on PS2, PS3 and PSP but transfigured in 2018 thanks to a new reading by Cory Barlog. A more adult, deeper and more cinematic revival which met with colossal success by exceeding 20 million copies sold on PS4 and now PC. Its sequel, God of War Ragnarok, will be released in 2022.

PlayStation Productions and Amazon have yet to confirm anything about Deadline’s information, but remember that Amazon has previously signed adaptations of Fallout and Mass Effect. At PlayStation Productions, The Last of Us series is being filmed for HBO Max while the Twisted Metal series will air on Peacock. In the cinema, the film Uncharted continues its impressive journey with nearly 272 million dollars at the box office, including more than 100 million in the United States.
