“A good blow of the club”: Lolita Séchan upset by a very bad news

Following the announcements of Prime Minister Jean Castex on Monday, November 27, major events are forced to be canceled. Particularly disappointing news for Lolita Séchan.

Bad news keeps coming for Lolita Sechan. After having been contaminated by Covid-19, the daughter of singer Renaud announced Monday, December 27, to have confined herself alone during the holidays. This Tuesday, December 28, it’s a new blow of the club who just fell on the 41-year-old writer. Following the new health measures announced by the government against Covid-19, the Angoulême Festival will not take place from January 27 to 30, 2022. The most famous event in the world of comics will be postponed, and we do not yet know the date of the postponement. On her Instagram account, Lolita Séchan expressed her disappointment. “Even if we expected, the announcement of the postponement of the Angoulême festival is a big blow“, she wrote in the caption of an original drawing.

I keep my fingers crossed that all those who have worked so hard to build this event can see it live with its audience very soon.“, added the ex-wife of Renan Luce.”Because beyond all the artists, of which I have the honor to belong, who have been waiting for two years to see their works exhibited or defended, these artists who needed to find their colleagues and their readers, because we often work alone and are eager to get out of our caves, beyond us, little scribblers, there is all those in the shadows that we do not suspect, those who have been making all this for months“, finished the young woman, who hopes”really a postponement and not a cancellation, like last year“.
