a helping hand from the tax authorities to claim scholarships

Many households eligible for college and high school scholarships do not apply for them. To remedy this, the tax authorities have provided a specific reminder when filing your income tax return.

This Thursday marks the start of the 2021 income reporting campaign. On this occasion, the tax authorities remind you that too many families fulfilling the conditions for the allocation of scholarships for their children attending school do not request it unacquainted of their rights.

To remedy this, households whose tax household includes one or more children attending middle school and/or high school are invited to verify their right to a scholarship at the end of their online declaration.

Furthermore, a simulator is made available to them to find out if they are eligible or not on the website of the Minister of National Education (education.gouv.fr). Eligible users will then be able to apply for this scholarship if they do not already benefit from it.
