How the pricing table works

As its name suggests, the Fujian BTH440 kettle from Riviera & Bar is intended for tea lovers: it should be noted that it takes its surname from a province of China, recognized for the variety and quality of the teas grown there. and whose ports were used for the first exports of this leaf from the Middle Kingdom to Europe. The control panel of the Fujian BTH440 embeds the traditional on/off button, but also three buttons, adorned with the names of three types of tea (green tea, black tea, oolong tea) as well as the most suitable temperatures for infusion . A final button heats the water up to 100°C.

Using the Fujian BTH440 is easy as pie. After filling the tank with water, press the button corresponding to the variety of tea to be prepared and the heating begins. At the most opportune time for infusion, an audible signal sounds and all that remains is to immerse the leaves placed in the basket adapted to the kettle tank. A second press on the key of the chosen tea launches a timer and another sound signal will warn the user that it is time to remove the leaves. A keep-warm mode automatically engages at the end of the infusion phase.

This is not the first time that Riviera & Bar has tried the automatic kettle-teapot. Indeed, a few years ago, the Cha Dao QD870A model, more versatile and equipped with a mobile basket taking the leaves out of the water at the end of the infusion, seduced us despite a much less instinctive interface. The volume of the tank of the Cha Dao was also more important (1.5 liters), because that of the Fujian does not exceed 1 liter and the manufacturer also recommends not to fill it with more than 0.8 liters of water. The Fujian BTH440 is therefore intended for solitary tea lovers even if one can hope to fill two cups without having to heat them a second time.

The Fujian can be used with or without a basket. (© Riviera & Bar)

As often at Riviera & Bar, the materials seem to be of high quality. The tank is made of glass (it will therefore be necessary to take care to descale it from time to time) and the base is covered with brushed aluminum for the most beautiful effect. Note the presence of a series of diodes lighting up as the temperature rises.

The Fujian BTH440 kettle is already available and you have to shed 140 € to afford it.
