The latest WhatsApp update for iPhone has a hidden function.

An update for the iPhone version of WhatsApp is available in the App Store. According to the changelog, with the update to version 24.7.75, among other things, an improved video player and a new option for recording video instant messages will be added to the app. But there is also a small but subtle change that is not mentioned in the changelog.
As the fan blog WABetaInfo reports, WhatsApp is introducing a new shortcut with the update on the iPhone that you can use to quickly share a picture in the chat. To do this, you usually have to tap the plus symbol in the chat, then select the “Image” option and then select the photo you want from your gallery.
Jump directly to the photo gallery
After the update, you can jump directly to the gallery by long-pressing the plus symbol. This saves you having to press a button. The function is not yet available on Android devices. Whether and when it will move in here remains to be seen. We would definitely welcome it.
