a legendary actor soon again in a cult role!

Among the different versions of Spider-Man, one of them particularly stood out in Into the Spider-Verse. Particularly thanks to the performance of its actor, who could soon reprise the role!

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a real gem bringing together several iconic versions of the Weaver. Among these, the mysterious Spider-Man Noir made a strong impression thanks to the performance of Nicolas Cage. He would thus be in discussion to once again embody this charismatic character!

Nicolas Cage’s performance as Spider-Man was emulated

Among Sony’s greatest recent successes with the Spider-Man license, the Spider-Verse film series occupies the highest places on the podium. Its enormous success is notably due to superb animation and a very intelligent representation of the different Weavers in the multiverse. One of them made a particularly strong impression. Spider-Man Noir, which first appeared in 2009, is a fascinating variation of Peter Parker. It evolves in a dark version of New York in the 1930s, all in black and white. He was played in Into the Spider-Verse by the eminently famous Nicolas Cage.

Unfortunately, we were not able to see this crazy classy character again in Across the Spider-Verse. Sony, however, has other plans for it. A live-action series exclusively dedicated to him is in fact in the works. At the head of the project, we have Steve Lightfoot, showrunner of the excellent series The Punisher. The height of happiness, Nicolas Cage would be in discussions to represent this dark version of Spider-Man.

A return to great form for Nicolas Cage?

The well-known actor spoke to Collider on the subject. “ I can say we talked. The fact that I love the character is no secret. I think this is a superb blend of Stan Lee’s masterpiece. However, there is nothing definitive, it’s just discussion “. Given the popularity of his performance in the role, however, it would be a shame if the series skipped such a boon.

With Nicolas Cage in the lead role and The Punisher showrunner directing, the live-action Spider-Man Noir series could certainly spark. Unfortunately, the progress of the project is as much in the dark as this typical 1930s version of Peter Parker. Fans wanting to know more will therefore have to be patient.
