For our Quebec colleagues, Tiffany Leigh admits that “touching these insects was a bit unpleasant” for her. “Fortunately, I managed to contain my facial expressions and I let her take a cricket herself”she remembers, quoting her daughter. “Without hesitation, she took a bite, but quickly spat the rest on the ground. She shook her head no and told me she wasn’t interested.”she continues, while specifying “having integrated crickets in pancakes which the whole family seemed to appreciate”. The Torontonian therefore takes the time to test without forcing her child according to her explanations. “For the dinner, I sprinkled a little powder into our mac and cheese. She then made a sign that she wanted more. It was a winner!”she concludes.
