While the Rhapsodies of Vana’diel are underway on FF14, a new Mog Mog Collection begins. Expected for January 30, this edition called “Genesis of a new dimension – Part 1” brings with it something new. Sea fishing and Gold Saucer activities now allow to obtain tomestones in Final Fantasy XIV. And this is not the only surprise awaiting players in this event divided into two parts.
Genesis of a new dimension, part 1
The new Mog Mog Collection is available from Tuesday January 30 at 9:00 a.m. until Monday March 11 at 3:59 p.m. on FF14. During this time, players can obtain Unusual Allagan Tomestones to purchase rewards from a Traveling Mog in one of the major starting cities. These can include cosmetic items for your character or chocobo, mounts, pets, orchestrion scrolls and much more. But to have this currency, you still need to know where to find them.
Progress in the Mog Mog Collection
No prerequisite quest to complete to enter the event, all players are free to participate. However, you will need to complete different objectives to obtain unusual Allagan tomestones. To do this, players will benefit from a Mog Mog guide which will tell them the different content they can obtain. Among the regular content, a Mog icon will be present next to dungeons, challenges and raids. The Gold Saucer JACTA will also allow you to obtain them, as well as sea fishing provided you obtain a score of 1,200 points.
For the rest, these are objectives distributed by the Mogs which will guide the player. Once a week, content will be highlighted by the guide, waiting to be completed. Other challenges will also be offered, but not all of them can be completed. You will therefore have to choose which ones to prioritize to quickly obtain your reward. Finally, for the toughest, challenges that can be done only once throughout the event can be found, with a special objective for those looking for thrills.
Be careful though, by successfully completing the objectives in the notebook, the reward is not automatically distributed. These will no longer be obtainable once update 7.05 is live, so it’s best not to forget them. Finally, if no quest is necessary to progress in the event, some are necessary to obtain rewards. These are the quests “Beyond our differences”, “Board traps”, “An admirer in Kugane” and “Transfer of power”.
