a new patch that you will love

A new day is dawning on Super Earth with new news around Helldivers 2. This time it’s a small patch, but one that should make a big difference for players!

Called patch 1.000.103, this responds to numerous requests made by Helldivers 2 players. Another sign that the studio behind the game remains constantly attentive to its community and responsive. Let’s see more precisely what it contains.

Metal Tornado on Helldivers 2

While the next mecha coming to Helldivers 2 has leaked, it’s the first one that’s getting some attention from the developers. We talked about it previously, the EXO-45 Patriot did not live up to the enormous enthusiasm of the community for it. The fault is great fragility for very relative effectiveness. However, this is history thanks to patch 1.000.103. We can indeed read that fixes have been made to its statistics, its interface and its stability. The exo-suit should therefore be more manageable and efficient.

Other points of contention since their arrival in the first major patch have seen a certain balancing: planetary dangers such as fire tornadoes or falling meteors. These should appear much less often and be much less devastating. Helldivers should therefore be less afraid of the environment when entering their Hellpods. Likewise, enemy patrols should swarm less on the surface of the mission area. Overall, the joyful ambient chaos that is Helldivers 2 will calm down a little.

A batch of fixes for the good of democracy

In addition to beneficial balancing, the deployment of this new patch for Helldivers 2 is also obviously accompanied by numerous fixes. Among the most notable, we can cite the reduction of occurrences where patrols appear directly on players. The mecha will also no longer encounter an unfortunate spontaneous explosion when firing a rocket while it is spinning. Finally, he will be able to continue fighting in melee, even in a very damaged state.

Players will also be pleased to learn that unexpected crashes should be less frequent. This will particularly be the case when typing Alt+Tab on PC, after changing the game language or when starting the PS5. Likewise, the game should react more stably when joining a mission in progress or remaining idle on the title screen.

As transparent as ever, Arrowhead Games Studios also reports known issues, either which have not yet been corrected, or which appeared following previous patches. These are particularly interested in cross-play and invitations to the friends list. To find out about patch 1.000.103, you can find the update notes in their entirety via the game’s Steam page (in English, however).
