a new revaluation in 2023 after a first, exceptional, in April

+1.9% on July 1, which is added to +1.9% on April 1. Benefits are progressing like last year at a rate lower than inflation. This new increase concerns 2.1 million beneficiaries.

1st of July. It is on this date that Undic increases the minimum unemployment benefit each year and, by extension, all compensation for Ple emploi. This year, it will be 1.9%, a revaluation much lower than inflation – which is still around 5% – but which follows a first exceptional increase, in the sense that it deviated from the usual calendar: +1.9 % dj in April.

2.1 million beneficiaries are affected by this measure which will apply from 1 July.

This double increase, which therefore remains less than 4% cumulatively, follows a revaluation of 2.9% on July 1, 2022 and an increase limited to 0.6% the previous year. On average, the annual revaluation has been 1.3% over the last 5 years.

The decision goes through a vote of the administrators of Undic, the social partners managing the scheme (representatives of employers and employees). Undic’s Board of Directors, which met on Tuesday June 27, voted, by a majority of the votes cast, for a new 1.9% increase on July 1, the Undic press release soberly states. 2.1 million beneficiaries are affected by this measure which will apply from 1 July.
