a new surprise game that no one saw coming

Surprise ! A new Rayman game has just been announced, but it’s not quite what you think. But at least it’s completely new for Ubisoft’s cult license.

Why is there no sequel to the excellent Rayman Legends yet? It’s a question that everyone asks themselves, without ever having obtained an answer. At a time of the revival of Prince of Persia and the return to the roots of Assassin’s Creed, the franchise would nevertheless have its place in the current Ubisoft catalog. The latest game was acclaimed by players who savored every moment of this platformer with its phenomenal artistic direction. If you want to see the Ubi mascot again which has two hands, two feet, but no arms, an alternative is available to you.

A Rayman game is invading your table in 2024

This is definitely the week for surprising announcements around notable games or licenses. Just a few minutes ago, we told you about the launch of a unique Cyberpunk 2077 game which will be available in 2024. Well, publisher Ubisoft also wants to explore the world of tabletop games with Rayman the Board Game.

“Experience Rayman like never before in an all-new board game adventure! Team up with your favorite heroes in an epic race, avoiding dangers while saving the Little Ones! Designed by the famous Maxime Tardif (Earth) and FLYOS, this game promises captivating action for 2 to 5 players, aged between 7 and 77 years old. Become a legend in The Crossroads of Dreams and get ready for launch in Q3 2024 » explains the Rayman the Board Game website.

That’s it for the unexpected announcement of the next Rayman game, but don’t wait for more details. The first image simply reveals the presence of two magnificent Rayman and Globox figurines in its classic version. We don’t know how it will play out and to what extent it will exploit the universe, but see you in a few months. And if not for a real video game? It all depends on Ubisoft but Davide Soliani, creative director of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, is very (very) motivated. “If it was offered to me, I would be crazy not to accept” he said in 2023 about a possible comeback of the character.
