More than a month has passed since 15-year-old Lina mysteriously disappeared while on her way to the train station for a trip to Strasbourg. The young girl had planned to find Tao, her boyfriend. On September 29, a vast coordinated operation was launched in La Plaine, under the aegis of prosecutor Aline Clérot.
During this operation, the attention of investigators was captivated by a series of vehicles, following testimony specifying that Lina had been seen getting into a blue Clio. Each vehicle matching this description was thoroughly inspected, with samples taken for analysis. In the midst of this exhaustive investigation, one individual particularly stood out.
Focus on a potential suspect
A car owner attracted significant interest from investigators. His car was scrutinized, and his home, placed under seal, was the subject of a thorough search. On September 30, the residence of this music teacher was examined in detail, with scientific tests to detect possible traces of blood. Although nothing directly implicated the professor, his situation aroused suspicion.
François Daoust, director general of the gendarmerie research center, expressed on RTL that despite the professor’s unusual reactions, nothing proved his guilt. The investigators focused on him, in particular because he was not traveling at the time of Lina’s disappearance, unlike the other owners of blue Clios. This avenue, although ultimately unsuccessful, was examined with the greatest attention as part of this complex and delicate investigation.
