A new unofficial Tesla Model 3 is shown through official documents

You are probably aware that the Tesla Model 3 Performance disappeared from the catalog at the beginning of September during the restyling of the electric car. Since then, many have been wondering when this ultra-sporty sedan will make its comeback. The Tesla spare parts catalog revealed a little secret overnight.

At Tesla, performance is in the DNA of vehicles. Popularized with the first Model S, the so-called “Performance” variant of each car from the manufacturer has gradually changed its name.

Today, the Tesla Model Y Performance exists, but for the Model S and X, they are Plaid versions. The next Tesla Model 3 could recover one of these names, or introduce a new one…

Is the rumor of a Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous true?

Last night, Tesla’s spare parts site revealed a secret that probably shouldn’t have leaked: a new badge for the Tesla Model 3.

Those who are familiar with the different markings used by Tesla will recognize a badge similar to that affixed to the Plaid versions, as found on the current high-end Model S and Model X. More precisely, It’s probably a Ludicrous badgenot used until now (still from the film Spaceballs).

A sign of extreme performance and triple engine among Tesla’s flagships, this would be a new variant on the cheapest of the Texan firm’s cars. It is not unlikely that this is an error in the catalog, and that Tesla corrected the situation overnight, since the new version below no longer shows this badge.

The two theories hold, however we are rather in favor of the referencing error, since a Tesla Model 3 Performance with two engines seems to be on the program. In addition, the documents show not yet official, sporty-looking rims. We imagine that these are those of the future Tesla Model 3 Performance.

In addition, observers noticed a camouflaged Tesla Model 3 walking around the brand’s Californian offices, while the restyled version is not yet on the configurator across the Atlantic. All this contributes to fueling rumors of an announcement of the new generation Tesla Model 3 Performance – or Ludicrous – very soon, and potentially with some surprises that we cannot yet imagine.

We are thinking in particular of the integration of a camera at the front, which was shown on the first visuals on the Tesla site, before being removed without ever having been officially recognized by the firm. If Tesla keeps a little under the pedal, the end of the year risks being busy: between the deliveries of the Cybertruck scheduled for November 30, the advances in autonomous driving and the new Model 3, we are not going to bored at Tesla before 2024.
