But then, when will it be? Well, for now, we don’t know. It’s supposed to arrive in 2024. In the meantime, a new update has just sold us dreams of its arrival on PC. Indeed, thanks to this update, we will obviously no longer need to use a driver or special hardware to operate the PSVR 2 on PC. From now on, this will be done via a direct connection, and not streaming via a console. This is a new and expected feature, which shows that Sony is preparing the ground well.
Indeed, it would free the PSVR 2 from its link with the PS5. Something that could help boost sales of the headset, since it would target a new audience who are not necessarily interested in the console. Faced with competition like Meta Quest 3, it’s necessary.
