a nice gift for fans while waiting for the next film

Ahead of the release of the new film Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace, on April 10, 2024 in cinemas, the Ghostbusters license is offering a return that will surprise players.

Ghostbusters is one of the biggest pop culture phenomena. A cult license that we owe to director Ivan Reitman, supported by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd (Ray) in writing, and to the entire legendary cast including the legend Bill Murray. Timeless classics from the 80s as popular as Back to the Future, which brings together a large community of fans. The tributes, more or less pronounced, to the franchise are regular and it is not Stranger Things which will be able to say the opposite. But in a few days, another work will take over the ectoplasm hunters.

A new video game collaboration for Ghostbusters

The Ghostbusters license was born in the cinema and it is through this that it will make its return on April 10, 2024, the official release date of the film Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace. A feature film which will try to offer a future to the saga, while still looking back in time with the appearance in the cast of Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), Dan Aykroyd (Ray Stantz), Ernie Hudson (Windson Zeddemore) or Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz). But the series has also had the right to its own video games for decades, as with the recent soft Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed and the VR title Rise of the Lord. And a new surprise is organizing its launch.

Like the Mass Effect content in Destiny 2, Bungie announces a Ghostbusters crossover for March 19, 2024 on consoles and PC. There are no final details yet, but for now, this collaboration should only include paid items. The studio will clarify all this in due time, but we already know what to expect. This Destiny 2 x Ghostbusters partnership will provide a sparrow based on the new villain from Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace. The players’ ship, which is used in particular to move from one planet to another, can take the form of the mythical ECTO-1. And to finish in style, Bungie unveiled a Ghost – the little robot that follows the character and can, for example, act as a light – bearing the image of the legendary Bouffe-tout.
